Epicurus type (FLEV) description

Epicurus, like all unconscious Physics types, finds hedonism a natural way of life and is not inclined to think too much about the material side of life. Because of this, FLEV is often mistaken for 4F. However, what sets them apart from 4F is the desire for physical pleasures and comfort, especially in critical situations. When 4F forgets about food, sleep, and comfort, FLEV, on the contrary, tends to return to their foundation – the First function, using bodily pleasures that restore their ability to think rationally and act with willpower.

Logical reasoning is one of FLEV’s favorite pleasures. This is the sphere in which they feel free and confident and strive to encourage the activity of those around them, provoking them to discussions and expressing their opinions. Nevertheless, Epicurus are not inclined to heated arguments. They bring down stubborn and dogmatic interlocutors with the help of gentle irony, and allow those uncertain about their own reasoning to express themselves, kindly and patiently explaining complex logical chains in simple and accessible language.

If this type uses offensive irony excessively, most likely they want to protect their 3E, which makes them uncertain in expressing their emotional reactions and sensitive to the reactions of others to themselves. Epicurus often see a reason for offense where a person did not intend to offend them. Questions like “Am I needed?”, “How am I perceived?”, “Am I not imposing?” constantly torment the owner of 3E. They may feel embarrassed about their smile, facial expressions, “dull” voice, or unnatural laughter. It is extremely important for them to receive support from those around them in this aspect in the form of unconditional acceptance and a friendly atmosphere. FLEV gravitates towards people who can emotionally liberate them, like rays of sunshine, and becomes strongly attached to them. Also, they usually have a loving attitude towards animals and plants and understand their needs. They help them regain lost emotional balance.

Fourth Will of Epicurus makes them democratic and pleasant to interact with, a person who takes into account the desires of others, strives not to offend anyone, and ensures that everyone is satisfied. They are not inclined to change their communication style depending on a person’s status or social role. For them, all people are equal and free in this world. At the same time, it can be difficult for them to set global, long-term goals and motivate themselves to achieve them – for this, they need to use subjective functions.

Overall, FLEV is a life-loving and resilient person, slightly melancholic, passive in unfamiliar situations, emotionally sensitive, democratic, and internally free.
